An attacker launched an unprovoked assault on a Jewish man in Brooklyn, adding to the mounting number of violent anti-Semitic incidents during the past year in New York.
In the latest round of anti-Semitic violence in New York, 32-year-old Steven Sotomayor struck a 21-year-old victim on the face as he walked by, assaulting the young Jewish man out of the blue.
According to witnesses at the scene, no words were exchanged before Sotomayor launched the attack. The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating this as an “anti-Semitic assault,” which occurred just days after a Jewish man was stabbed and beaten in Monsey, New York.
