A Libyan politician and former ICC member says the “Arab Spring” didn’t succeed because Arabs “are living in the Dark Ages.”

Libyan expat Dr. Hadi Shalouf, a politician who once represented Libya at the International Criminal Court (ICC), appeared on Al-Jazeera to debate Syrian journalist Khalil Al-Miqdad.

Al-Miqdad blamed Jewish “conspiracies” for the failings of the Arab world, claiming Qaddafi had abused Libyans because of a Jewish relative and that Israel could not survive without the destruction of Iraq.

Shalouf countered that the problems plaguing the Arab are due to Arabs “living in the Dark Ages” in addition to several other eye-opening comments.
