British commentator Douglas Murray in an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored published Monday asserted that “you cannot completely separate out the Palestinian people [sic] from their leadership.”
“The leadership is there for a reason,” Murray continued.
“If you have a vote, and you vote for Hamas, then there are consequences to that,” he said, adding, “It would obviously be much better for the Palestinian people [sic] if they had not voted in a genocidal terrorist group as their government.”
When Piers Morgan suggested that Palestinian Arabs might have been “terrorized into” supporting their leadership against their will, Murray conceded, “Whether it’s Hamas in Gaza or the PA in the West Bank [sic], all people that have been governed by terror entities like this are of course always themselves at risk.”
“But,” Murray added, “the history of human liberation has always been [about] people standing up to the tyrants who would rule over them and govern them.”
