Starlings arrived in Israel for the winter and have been putting on an amazing show in the Negev Desert every morning for the last two weeks.
A number of species of migratory birds stop in Israel during the winter on their way from eastern Europe to Africa, including the massive flocks of starlings that are currently in the Negev.
These tarlings form mysterious, dark shapes in the sky, flying in formations called “murmurations.”
