A BBC reporter used a major Holocaust memorial as a platform to accuse the Jewish state of ‘occupying Palestinian territories.’
As world leaders converged on Jerusalem to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp, the UK’s BBC sent a reporter named Orla Guerin to cover the event.
Guerin, who was first accused of anti-Israel bias back in 2005, claimed in her report about the Holocaust memorial that Israel “occupies Palestinian territories,” a move seen as politicizing an event to honor the memory of victims of the Nazi genocide to demonize the Jewish state.
The BBC’s history of biased coverage is well-documented, but this incident represents a particularly egregious example.
