On October 7th, United Hatzalah first responder Neie Zean faced an unimaginable crisis. Explosions near her community disrupted the morning calm, and an urgent call brought her to aid survivors from the nearby Nova festival.

Throughout the day, Neie tended to both soldiers and civilians under difficult conditions, often limited by restricted access to the injured and an overwhelming number of casualties.

One year later, Neie reflects on that day’s impact on her perspective and her volunteer work. While the memories remain heavy, she believes in the resilience of the human spirit and finds strength in helping others.
