CIA director William Burns arrived in Israel Tuesday for a three-day visit, with talks focusing on the Iranian threat and a possible alternative to the 2015 nuclear agreement.

Burns met Wednesday morning at the Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv with Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Mossad director David Barnea and other senior officials.

They discussed tightening intelligence and security cooperation between Israel and the US, as well as the situation in the Middle East, especially Iran, and possibilities for expanding and deepening regional cooperation.
