Salma Yaqoob’s hatred for Israel is no secret, nor is the fact that party leader Jeremy Corbyn called her a “hero” and a “fantastic activist” in the past.

Not only did U.K. Labor candidate Salma Yaqoob push the anti-Semitic “Rothschild banker” conspiracy on social media, she has also persistently demonized the Jewish state online.

Recently, a video surfaced of Yaqoob claiming Israelis have “for years pretended to be European,” referring to the Jewish state as a “pig,” a common anti-Semitic trope.

When a team from her party leader, Jeremy Corbyn, was confronted by the U.K.’s Daily Mail about his past praise for Yaqoob, spokesperson “defended [Corbyn’s] comments and heaped fresh praise on her.”

As a side note, Yaqoob was also recently accused of plagiarizing American far-left politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, based on a Yaqoob video with a script that is nearly identical to a campaign video used by the freshman congresswoman.
