Egyptair will operate direct flights between Cairo and Tel Aviv four times a week as well as flights from Tel Aviv to Sharm el-Sheikh in the Sinai.

For the first time ever, an official Egyptair commercial flight arrived at Ben-Gurion International Airport directly from Cairo on Sunday.

Since the signing of the 1979 Israeli-Egyptian peace accords, flights between the two cities have been operating but under a subsidiary, Air Sinai, rather than under the official Egyptian airline logo.
