Kfir Tzar was hit by a rocket in Gaza which burned him severely and damaged his lungs almost beyond repair.
Major Dor Zimel was mortally wounded by a Hezbollah drone and anti-missile attack in Western Galilee and a few days later succumbed to his wounds.
Kfir Tzar received a transplant of Major Zimel’s lungs at the Sheba Medical center and when he could speak again, said, “With every breath I take, I will perpetuate his memory.”
