Amid the massive rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip on Israel since Friday, a vehicle was hit on Sunday near Kibbutz Yad Mordechai, located about 20 miles from the Israeli-Gazan border.
A 21-year-old father in the vehicle was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and died of his wounds.
In light of the attacks, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a “special situation” for a 40-kilometer area surrounding the Gaza Strip and ordered the IDF “to continue massive attacks against terrorist elements in the Gaza Strip.”
