The bitter rivalry between the Hamas terror group and Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party has become increasingly violent, with salvos launched on each side of the divide.
Fatah Central Committee Member Jamal Muhaisen recently declared that Hamas is a “terrorist movement” and that “even if it were to rehabilitate the people who were imprisoned or had their arms or legs broken, it would return to its old ways within a matter of months.”
Muhaisen made the comments during a TV interview amid Hamas’ brutal crackdown on economic protests in Gaza, during which hundreds of Palestinians have rioted in response to the repressive Hamas regime, which squanders millions on terror instead of allocating resources for the people’s basic needs.
Muhaisen referred to Hamas as “ISIS in Palestine,” referencing the Islamic group that once terrorized large swathes of Syria and Iraq.
