Since 1948, Boys Town Jerusalem has been helping Israel grow. On Israel’s Independence Day, we celebrate 71 years of contributing to Israel’s achievements.
Boys Town Jerusalem was founded in 1948 – the year of the establishment of the modern State of Israel – by Alexander S. Linchner, a Brooklyn-born rabbi who devoted his life to creating an institution to provide Israeli youth of diverse of all socio-economic backgrounds with a quality education to enable them to build the State of Israel with technological skill and Jewish idealism.
Approximately 950 students aged 12-20 study and live on the campus.
Today, over 7,500 graduates proudly serve in the Israel Defense Forces and build fine Jewish homes and families, while making important contributions to their nation.
Join them in celebrating Israel’s 71st Independence Day. Happy Birthday Israel!
