The U.S. recently officially designated a key Iranian military faction as a “terror organization.” Here’s why.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is an elite military force tasked with doing much of the rogue state’s dirty work in the region, in addition to spreading chaos wherever it is permitted to have an impact.
That’s why the Trump administration recently added the IRGC to its official list of designated terror organizations, leveling sanctions against the group itself and anyone who chooses to be involved with it.
The IRGC not only threatens Israel’s existence via other terror groups it funds and trains, such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, it has set its sights on the rest of the world as well.
