Blind Israeli voters cast their ballots on Tuesday with the aide of cutting-edge technology invented by an Israeli startup.

Israelis went to the polls this week and the visually challenged were no exception thanks to a new visual aid that enabled them vote independently and confidentially for the first time.

The little device attaches to the side of spectacle frames and eliminated the need for blind voters to be accompanied by chaperones, as had been the case in the past.

Looks like the Middle East’s only true democracy just got a little more democratic!
