Despite its tiny size, Israel is always willing to lend a big hand, wherever and whenever disaster strikes.
The 2018 California wildfires were nothing short of devastating, with the largest of the blazes, “Camp Fire,” the most destructive in the state’s history and the deadliest in the U.S. since 1918.
With 86 casualties and 15 others injured in the town of Paradise alone, Israeli non-profit IsrAID sprung to action, sending a team of volunteers 7,000 miles to assist victims and local trauma workers.
Providing critical assistance in times of dire need is IsrAID’s mission and it made the Jewish state proud in California, showing its American friends that Israel will always be there to lend a hand.
