Israeli soldiers discovered and arrested a Hezbollah operative hiding in an underground complex in southern Lebanon, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Sunday.
The complex, accessible via a shaft beneath a building, extended seven meters deep and spanned 50 square meters, equipped with supplies indicating the operative was prepared for a lengthy stay.
In a video released by the IDF, the operative, dressed only in underpants and sneakers, emerged from the shaft to surrender, following Arabic instructions from soldiers; upon searching the area, troops uncovered a stash of weapons and supplies, suggesting a plan for prolonged concealment.
