A Member of Knesset who immigrated from Ethiopia had always longed to live in Jerusalem. He is now living a dream-come-true.

This week marks the anniversary of the liberation and reunification of Jerusalem in the 1967 Six Day War,

In honor of Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day) in 2017, on the 50th anniversary of this momemtous occasion, then-Knesset member Dr. Avraham Neguise, an Ethiopian-Israeli, expresses his love for the eternal capital of the Jewish people.

Neguise made aliya (immigration to Israel) in 1985 from Ethiopia, where he had dreamed of one day living in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem will always remain the united capital city of the State of Israel, he declares.
