Indian journalist Palki Sharma described the most “poignant moment” she witnessed in Israel.
She recounted being invited to a Shabbat meal by a woman whose husband and son were fighting in Gaza.
She said, “The strength of these people moved me … in the midst of all of this they are following customs and taking life one day at a time.”
