A new Prager University video examines science’s perspective on the universe and the attribution of its origin to intelligent design as opposed to random creation.
One of the classic discussions in scientific thought focuses on the purported tension between the concept of intelligent design and that of random creation. The more science develops and learns about the universe and the fundamental makeup of the world, the more improbable it seems that intelligent, self-aware beings came into existence as a result of random creation.
Statistically speaking, it would be virtually impossible for everything that exists to have been formed by random chance. Our latest understanding of the universe increasingly forces science to admit that the odds of life developing by chance are less than zero. Does this mean science itself attests to intelligent design, or does science manage to prove the opposite? Watch the video and come to your own conclusions.
