Israeli commentator Avi Abelow noted that Iran’s reported plan to attack the Jewish state on the ninth of Av, the day on which Jews mourn the destruction of the First and Second Temples, betrays an admission that the Temple Mount belongs to the Jews.
“They were telling the world, ‘We’re going to attack the Jews on the day their Temples were destroyed, the saddest day on their calendar. What else are they saying? That they recognize that Israel, the Temple Mount, Jerusalem – belongs to the Jews,” Abelow noted.
“The Iranians just admitted it to all of humanity.”
