As the Middle East simmers and Israel braces for an imminent Iranian attack, Iranian Jews stand strong with their Jewish brethren, reading Eicha, the Book of Lamentations.
Eicha commemorates the destruction of the First Temple by the Babylonians, while Tisha B’Av, in general, also marks the destruction of the Second Temple and other tragic events in Jewish history.
The Jewish people pray for God’s return to this world and the rebuilding of the Third Temple, while mourning all that has been lost throughout the generations.
