The Iranian official said the explosion appears to have been an act of sabotage.

This past July, a mysterious explosion hit the top-secret Natanz nuclear facility and destroyed nearly three-quarters of Iran’s main centrifuge assembly hall.

In an August 24, 2020 interview, Behrouz Kamalvandi, the spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said that within 14 months, Iran’s nuclear capabilities will recover from the losses caused by the explosion.

Kamalvandi said the explosion appears to have been an act of sabotage.

He also discussed Iran’s nuclear program and its quest for military-grade uranium.
