“The first issue on the agenda is Iran,” Netanyahu told his cabinet ahead of his departure for the Mideast security conference in Warsaw. Arab leaders will also attend.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with US Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, among other leaders, at this week’s Mideast summit in Warsaw, Poland.
The main issue for discussion at the conference, titled “Ministerial to Promote a Future of Peace and Security in the Middle East,” is the Iranian threat, Netanyahu said at the weekly cabinet session on Sunday.
A number of Arab states – also concerned about Iran’s aggression in the region, an issue which has brought them closer to the Jewish state – will also attend.
Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki has been urging Arab countries to boycott the event or at least to downgrade their representation by sending low-level diplomats.
