Israeli law prevents discrimination on the basis of gender. The small country has the Middle East’s highest level of gender equality.
The World Bank estimates that 59% of women participate in the workforce and hold more than 30% of managerial positions in Israel’s top 100 companies.
Women, including Arab Israelis, also comprise 29.2% of the Knesset.
