Shurat HaDin founder Nitsana Darshan-Leitner explains why her organization filed a lawsuit against Facebook after the results of an experiment she conducted clearly demonstrate what appears to be Facebook’s anti-Israel bias!
The Israeli NGO (non-governmental organisation) Shurat HaDin – Israel Law Center conducted a fascinating experiment two weeks ago on Facebook.
They posted two identical pages, the only difference was that one was inciting violence against Israelis and the other against Palestinians.
Both pages glorified their own cause and vilified the “enemy,” attracted comments and “likes” from supporters, and proved to be extremely popular.
Shurat HaDin then reported both pages to Facebook for breaching Facebook’s Community Standards BUT only ONE was taken down for this breach. We all know which one was allowed to remain live – the anti-Israel page!
