Following a goal, Israeli soccer player Sagiv Yehezkel flashed a message to the camera reading “100 days, 7.10” with a Star of David alongside it.
The message was in solidarity with his fellow Israelis still being held captive by Hamas after 100 days. After the game’s completion, Sagiv was arrested on incitement charges and faces prosecution in Turkey.
Turkey, known for its anti-Israel mentality, will make it very hard for Sagiv to return and get off the hook.
