MDA youth volunteers gave special-needs children a special, fun-filled day in celebration of Tu b’Shvat, Israel’s “New Year for the Trees.”
Tu b’Shvat is a joyful day in Israel, when it is customary for families and groups to go on tree-planting and agricultural field trips.
Youth volunteers for Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel’s national service responsible for emergency pre-hospital care and blood services, entertained special needs children on Tu b’Shvat, giving them a special, fun-filled day with exciting activities, coupled with lots of warmth and hugs.
The program takes place annually in cooperation with the Jewish National Fund, which has become a global environmental leader.
