Israel completed a successful test of the advanced “Arrow 2” missile defense system jointly with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency.

Commenting on the the Arrow 2 interceptor, Defense Minister Benny Gantz said the system “ensures that Israel will always be one step ahead of our enemies.”

The Defense Ministry’s Moshe Patel noted that the system is ready for attacks from Iran, Iraq, Syria and and anywhere else. The Arrow system can neutralize cruise and ballistic missiles, including projectiles carrying nuclear warheads.

The Arrow 2 system can stop even the longest-range missiles, including those that attack from outside the earth’s atmosphere.
