Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited Istanbul’s Jews at the historic Neve Shalom Synagogue.
Hoping to improve a decade of strained relations, Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited Turkey.
In addition to talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Herzog also met members of the Istanbul’s Jewish community in the historic Neve Shalom Synagogue on Thursday morning.
The community greeted the Israeli president with shofar blasts and singing.
