“Our collective efforts have led to the new Middle East, where firsts and breakthroughs are now happening almost every day,” Kushner said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law, held a joint press conference in Jerusalem Monday night, ahead of their trip to Morocco to advance the Abraham Accords.

“Netanyahu has shown that Israel is willing to compromise for true peace,”just not with regard to security,” Kushner said. “I urge the world as it goes forward to take the time to understand Israel’s perspective and to ask yourself if you would make the compromises that Israel has been asked to make if you were in the prime minister’s shoes.”

Netanyahu responded, expressing appreciation to Kushner and thanking Trump for his “staunch support and leadership, for all that he has done for the State of Israel. I think we’re all deeply indebted for him, deeply indebted to his great actions.”
