Former US Army lieutenant general Michael Flynn appeared on Fox News to explain why officials must confront terrorism and stop hiding behind political correctness.

Michael Flynn, a retired United States Army lieutenant general who served as the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and is currently military adviser to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, says it is not correct to say there is no “credible threat” to New York as Mayor de Blasio did.

Flynn emphasized that the explosion in Manhattan was clearly a terrorist act.

He said he hopes that when the UN General Assembly gathers, its members will discuss important matters of the day such as global terrorism and not less pressing issues such as climate change.
