Local Jews and supporters of Israel showed up in numbers to show solidarity with Israel and the Jewish People ahead of a pro-Hamas rally in front of a Melbourne synagogue, Rebel News reported.

The pro-Hamas activists, whose rally appeared to be smaller than planned, chanted “Free Palestine” and “Long live the Intifada” while holding signs calling to sanction Israel and accusing it of “genocide.”

Rebel News
reporter Avi Yemini commented that the Jewish community “came together in the face of a threat, uniting to stare down the hate. The hate did arrive in small numbers, but were no match for the Melbourne Jewish community.”
