2700 years after they were exiled from Israel, the Bnei Menashe (sons of Menashe) have come to Shechem to visit the tomb of their great ancestors Menashe and Yosef.
This video features a monumental occasion. The Jewish tribe of Menashe was exiled from Israel 2700 years ago. Now, the tribe’s supposed descendants have returned and arrangements were made for them to visit the tomb of Menashe, the son of Joseph.
The tomb of Menashe is currently under Palestinian control, in the city of Shechem. It is one of three famous sites that were lawfully purchased by Jews. The other two are the Temple Mount and the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron. None of the three sites are currently under Jewish control.
