According to radical Islamists, a “Martyr’s” funeral is considered a wedding to the 72 Virgins in Paradise.
Palestinian terrorist Diya Al-Sabarini was shot by IDF soldiers after he attacked Israeli security forces in Jenin on Aug. 3, 2021. He later died of his wounds.
Sabarini was a member of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, the armed wing of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah movement.
While most mothers would be horrified and overcome with grief over a son who chose violence and death, Sabarini’s mother said, “Praise Allah, my son had nothing called a funeral, rather it was a wedding… I didn’t feel that it was a funeral, I felt that it was a wedding.”
