An unassuming 94-year-old Israeli man who passed away last week left a whopping $15 million dollars to a Tel Aviv hospital.

While neighbors of Daniel Jacobson commented after his passing last week that he led a modest life, the donation that the retired attorney bequeathed to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv was nothing to shake a stick at.

Indeed, Jacobson left 50 million shekels (approximately $15 million) to the hospital, a sum that will cover new operating rooms and a number of other major upgrades.

Jacobson is a descendant of some of the Israeli pioneers who created the communities of Rechovot and Rishon Letzion.
