Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during an interview with CNN on Sunday, responded to US Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s demanding elections in Israel.
Senator Schumer, who pointed out that he is the “highest ranking Jewish politician” in the US, called for Netanyahu’s ouster last Thursday from the Senate floor.
Netanyahu called the senator’s remarks “wholly inappropriate” and said, “It’s wrong to try to replace leaders in a sister democracy.”
