Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz on Monday in Jerusalem, to address anti-Semitism in Europe and strengthening the bonds between their two nations.

On Monday, Netanyahu and Kurz discussed not only battling anti-Semitism in Europe, but also cooperation between the Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology and the Austrian Science Fund.

The two world leaders also had a private meeting with Austrian Holocaust survivor Viktor Klein, who came to Israel with the Chancellor’s delegation.

“Chancellor Kurz, Sebastian, it’s a pleasure to welcome you back in Israel. You are a true friend of Israel and the Jewish people. I think you demonstrated that when you went to the Kotel, to the Western Wall, and I hope that other European leaders will follow your important example,” declared Netanyhau.
