Jibril Rajoub, the PA’s most powerful man in sports, asserts that normalization with Israel, even in sports, is “taboo.” Of course, it’s the youth who will suffer.

Jibril Rajoub, who served time in Israeli prison for terrorist activity, is secretary of the Fatah Central Committee as well as head of the Palestinian Football Association and the Palestine Olympic Committee.

In 2015, the Palestinian Authority submitted a request to FIFA, the international football association, to suspend Israel. The effort was organized and promoted by Rajoub.

Rajoub continues to deny Palestinian youth the opportunity to engage in sports with Israelis. Normalization, even which it comes to sports, is “taboo,” he insists.
