For 74 years, Kibbutz Ein Gev has hosted a “sing-along” festival filled with traditional Israeli folk songs that bring generations together through the power of music.
Established in 1937 on the shores of the Galilee by immigrants from Czechoslovakia, Germany, Austria, and the Baltic countries, Kibbutz Ein Gev still enjoys the fruits of the banana plantations sewn by early pioneers – and the music they loved so much.
The kibbutz has been hosting an annual musical event for 74 years running!
“Singing is a second language in Israel” says Sarale Sharon, who has led the festival for 40 years. “You speak Hebrew and you sing!”
