The shock of the October 7 massacre remained fresh and raw in the months that followed. Early reports of an impending hostage deal offered a glimmer of hope amidst the devastation.

That deal brought 50 women and children back to their families after more than two harrowing months in underground prison cells, where they lived in constant fear for their lives, unaware of the full extent of the massacre.

Now, a year later, with over 100 hostages still held in Gaza, every effort must be made to secure their release and bring them home.
