Instead of using museums to promote tolerance and peace, a Palestinian museum has an interactive exhibit that simulates violent intifada and rock throwing.
In most of the world, museums hold exhibits that promote peace, acceptance, understanding and unity. However, not only does the Palestinian museum not endorse peaceful messages, an exhibit in the museum does exactly the opposite.
In an interactive exhibit in the museum using virtual reality, visitors can participate in a simulated intifada as well as rock throwing.
The Palestinian Museum is a “Swiss-registered non-governmental association with a branch in Palestine” and “an independent institution with no political affiliations” according to its website.
