Israeli president Isaac Herzog paid his respects to HM Queen Elizabeth II as she lay in state.
On Sunday, President Isaac Herzog and his wife, Michal, paid their respects to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom as she lay in state at the British Parliament in London. The President is in the UK to represent Israel at the Queen’s funeral.
After he passed by the Queen’s coffin, he tweeted support to the British people and extolled the praises of Her Majesty as a “woman of valor,” a phrase from a passage in the Book of Proverbs (31:10-31) that is sung on Friday night to honor Jewish women.
On behalf of the State of Israel, its citizens, and the Jewish People, I paid respects to HM Queen Elizabeth II at her Lying-in-State. The Queen was a true "woman of valour," as we say in the Jewish tradition, a beacon of stability & a historic figure. We grieve with Britain.🇮🇱🇬🇧 pic.twitter.com/Nu08OcyPbI
