This week we remember the devastating event known as the Munich Massacre, when Palestinian terrorists murdered 11 Israeli athletes.

On September 5, 1972, eight Palestinian terrorists – members of Black September, a faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) – killed two members of the Israeli Olympic team in Munich and took nine others hostage.

The Germans organized a plan to end the crisis but did not succeed. After a day of negotiations, a gunfight that ensued, in which five terrorists and the remaining nine hostages died.
