The founder and director of the premier organization for Aliyah salutes English-speaking immigrants and describes, in his view, the two basic types.

Nefesh B’Nefesh, an organization that has revitalized Aliyah – immigration to Israel – from North America and the UK for over a decade, honored seven recipients of its 2017 Sylvan Adams Bonei Zion (Builders of Zion) prize, which recognizes Olim (immigrants) from English-speaking countries who have made a major impact on the State of Israel, whether in medicine, science and technology, arts and culture, sports, society or education.

Listen to Rabbi Yehoshua Fass, co-founder and executive director of Nefesh b’Nefesh, describe what he sees as the two types of olim. Both are contributing positively to the Jewish state.
