After five years and 41 million dollars, a state-of-the-art restoration of the ancient city of Caesarea has been completed, which showcases newly uncovered original vaults built by King Herod over two thousand years ago.

A new visitors’ center provides an overview of the tumultuous time during which Caesarea was created, which included bloody revolts by the Jewish inhabitants of the Land of Israel to beat back the advances of the Roman Empire.
