Former New York Governor David Paterson joined protesters in demanding that France prosecute Sarah Halimi’s murderer, who was let off the hook because he smoked marijuana.

“Jewish blood isn’t cheap,” said Dov Hikind, founder of Americans Against Antisemitism, at a protest in New York launched after France refused to prosecute Kobili Traoré, who yelled “Allah Akbar” as he violently murdered 65-year-old Sarah Halimi and then threw her from the window of her apartment.

“The murderer admitted that when he saw the Torah and menorah in her apartment he was triggered into brutalizing her even more,” recounted a statement from Americans Against Antisemitism.

Hikind was joined at the protest at the French Consul in Manhattan by New York’s former governor, David Paterson, in addition to other communal leaders and members of the community.
