Simchat Torah is a time to celebrate the Jewish People’s unique connection to Jerusalem, their eternal capital.

On the eve of Shemini Atzeret/Simchat Torah – which is celebrated in Israel in one day, whereas in the Diaspora they are two separate holidays – Chaim Silberstein, founder and president of Keep Jerusalem, discusses the fact that this year, due to the coronavirus lockdown, most Jews are prevented from visiting the holy city.

Nevertheless, he explains, we can express our commitment to Jerusalem throughout the year by protecting her and defending her.

Watch and listen to his inspiring words, filled with optimism for the festive Jewish holiday!
