The Muslim Brotherhood’s religious leader in Libya explains under what circumstances suicide bombings are allowed. The purpose must be to destroy the “enemy.”

Sheikh Sadiq Al-Ghariani, who is regarded by the Muslim Brotherhood as the Grand Mufti of Libya, told his followers that suicide bombings are permitted by sharia law.

Speaking on Libya’s Al-Tanasuh TV on April 15, he explained that such acts must be done in order to crush the enemy and not just to end one’s life.
