Terror factions are furious with Palestinian banks for shutting terrorists’ accounts to avoid prosecution under Israeli law.
Palestinians identified as members of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades fired shots in the air recently at crowded rallies to protest the closure of bank accounts used to transfer salaries to terrorists and their families.
According to experts monitoring the situation, terrorists and their sympathizers have been staging similar protests since last weekend.
Banks reportedly shut the accounts after Palestinian Media Watch, an Israeli watchdog, sent letters warning that authorities would pursue individuals and entities that violate the Israeli statute outlawing terror salaries.
